Congratulations on selecting Steamboat as your Skican vacation destination! Although Steamboat is best known for its terrific skiing/riding, the area offers plenty of additional activities for you to enjoy during your stay.
Steamboat offers heart-pounding excitement with four terrain parks.
Explore Steamboat’s 15 km of groomed cross country ski trails. Glide through the beautiful aspen groves and along stunning Fish Creek. Guided backcountry tours are available, as are equipment rentals.
Enjoy a scenic helicopter tour of the Steamboat area. This fascinating tour gives you a bird’s eye view of the picturesque Yampa Valley.
Hot air balloon tours are a fun way for the whole family to explore the Yampa Valley and Steamboat Ski Resort. All tours are weather dependent and include a continental breakfast.
Temperatures at the Strawberry Park Hot Springs range from 101 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit! These therapeutic pools will relax and refresh you. The springs are 10 miles north of the town of Steamboat.
Explore Flat Top Mountain and the Yampa Valley by snowshoe. Snowshoes are available to rent from the Steamboat Information Centre at the base of the mountain. Free (with lift ticket) guided tours depart at 1pm daily.
Enjoy the scenery of the Colorado backcountry while sure footed horses carry you through snow covered valleys and aspen woods.
