March Madness: Bring on the Pow!

Posted on: March 4, 2013

Jasper

With 70cm of snow falling over a three day period in Jasper, it's pretty clear that there's still a lot of winter left.  Not only is Marmot Basin slated to remain open until May 5, but with this latest dump of snow, you can count on some great conditions all the way through the spring.

"This is the biggest snow storm Marmot Basin has had in over two decades" - Brian Rode (Marmot Basin)

Banff

With almost 8,000 acres of terrain at Banff's 3 resorts, and a combined snowfall of 192cm in the past 7 days, there's plenty of pow to go around.  Banff's ski season started way back in October, and judging by the first few days of March, it looks like 2013 is going to be a spring to remember.  As the ski season starts to wind down in the east, the snow is still piling up in the west!

Whistler/Blackcomb

Whistler/Blackcomb has seen 124cm of snow in the past 7 days!  And the best part is that this dump is nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year.  With an average 11.5 feet of snow in the months of March and April, spring is one of the best times to visit Whistler/Blackcomb.
